The Town of Lake Brewing Co was founded in 1892. After just one year it became the Milwaukee Brewing Co. In 1900 they changed the name to Milwaukee Brewing and Bottling Co. and operated under that name for a year before becoming The Milwaukee Brewery Co.

The Brewery was located at the Southwest corner of West Arthur and South 11th
